Aftercare Policy

At Seth’s Little Zoo, we understand that life can bring unexpected changes. As part of our
ongoing commitment to the well-being of every animal we place, we offer a Livestock
Aftercare Policy to ensure no pet is ever left without a safe, caring home.
Our Commitment

We are proud to offer a Welcome-Back Guarantee for any live animal purchased from our
store. If, at any time, you find yourself unable to care for your pet, we will accept the animal
back—no questions asked and with no judgment.

Eligible Animals
This policy applies to all live animals originally purchased from our store, including but not
limited to:
• Small mammals (e.g., rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs)
• Reptiles and amphibians
• Birds
• Freshwater and saltwater fish
• Invertebrates (e.g., tarantulas, snails, hermit crabs)
Conditions for Return
• Animals must have been purchased from Seth’s Little Zoo. Proof of purchase may be
requested.
• We ask that animals are returned in a healthy, safe condition where possible.
• If the animal is ill or injured, we still encourage return but may direct you to our vet
or rescue partners first for proper care.
• We reserve the right to assess the condition of the animal to determine the best
course of aftercare.

No Refunds or Exchanges
This aftercare policy is not a refund or exchange service. Its purpose is to provide a
responsible rehoming pathway—not financial reimbursement.

What We Do After Return
Returned animals will be:
• Assessed by our staff or a partnering vet
• Quarantined (if necessary) for health and safety
• Rehabilitated or rehomed through trusted adoption channels

We work in conjunction with PlaysforStrays, a great charity that provides positive
enrichment for rescue animals in Northern Ireland and abroad.

Our Promise to You
We promise that all animals returned to us will be treated with the same care and respect
they received when first welcomed into our shop. By returning a pet you can no longer care
for, you’re making a compassionate choice—and we’re here to support you every step of the
way.
