Psittacus High Energy Plus Hand Feeding 5kg

Suitable for hand-rearing those psittacine species that require specially high-fat diets (Anodorhynchus hyacinthinus, Probosciger aterrimus, Guaruba guarouba, Ara chloroptera, Ara ambiguus). It is indicated to hand-rear those parrot species that need especially high fat diets. It contains a mix of vegetable fats suitable for these species: palm and coconut oils. It also contains papaya which favours digestive transit. It is a follow-on hand-feeding formula that should be used from the moment pin feathers emerge until weaning.

It is advisable to prepare the formula with lukewarm water at a concentration of approximately 25 % solids. It is recommended to administer the formula with a soft feeding tube.

For younger animals, it is necessary to use first-age hand-feeding formulas like the Granivorous Psittacine Crop Milk or the Granivorous Neonatal Hand Feeding (depending on the age of the chick).
